Women's Dictionary - Part I

If the topic itself has made you click on it and got you here, then trust me you would not be disappointed. I had got this email long time back and thanks to the art of Forwarding emails, it has probably reached your inbox sometime or another. For those who are lucky enough not to get forwarded mails, here it is....

I would recommend that women don't read further. I don't want to be criticised of being AGAINST my own kind. :P

Ok...So here goes....

They say women never say what they want..As a matter of fact, they always tell you EXACTLY what they want. Its just the matter of decoding it...So here you go...Some of the basic codes, specially decoded for you.

  1. You want...You want : We need OR I want.

  2. It's your decision: The correct decision should be obvious by now.

  3. Do what you want: You'll pay for this later.

  4. We need to talk: I need to complain.

  5. Sure . . . go ahead: This is a dare, not permission.. Don't Do It!

  6. I'm not upset: Of course I'm upset, you moron.

  7. You're . . . so manly: You need a shave and you sweat a lot.

  8. Be romantic, turn out the lights: I have flabby thighs.

  9. This kitchen is so inconvenient: I want a new house:

  10. I want new curtains: ..and carpeting, furniture and wallpaper

  11. Hang the picture there: No, I mean hang it there!

  12. I heard a noise: I noticed you were almost asleep.

  13. Do you love me?: I'm going to ask for something expensive.
  14. How much do you love me?: I did something today you're not going to like.

  15. I'll be ready in a minute: Kick off your shoes and find a good game on TV.

  16. Am I fat?: Tell me I'm beautiful.

  17. You have to learn to communicate: Just agree with me.

  18. Are you listening to me?: Too late, you're dead.

  19. Yes: No.

  20. No: No.

  21. Maybe: No.

  22. I'm sorry: You'll be sorry.

  23. Do you like this recipe?: It's easy to fix, so you'd better get used to it.

  24. I'm not yelling!: Yes I am yelling because I think this is important.
  25. That's Okay: This is one of the most dangerous statements a womencan make to a man. That's okay means she wants to think long and hardbefore deciding how and when you will pay for your mistake

IN ANSWER TO THE QUESTION: WHAT'S WRONG?

26. The same old thing: Nothing.

27. Nothing: This is the calm before the storm. This means something, and you should be on your toes.

28. Everything: My PMS is acting up.

29. Nothing, really: It's just that you are such a jerk.

30. I don't want to talk about it: Go away I'm still building up evidence against you.

So now you understand, Why women can get so complicated to understand??

You might want to try it and let me know if I was of any help... till then adios and good luck

No time to stand and stare..

I have been doing a lot of literary reading recently and came across a beautiful poem that touched my heart. There are times when you are thinking something and you end up reading something which expresses exactly what YOU wanted to say.

What is this Life if full of care,
we have no time to stand and stare,
No time to stand beneath the boughs,
and stare as long as sheep or cows.

No time when the woods we pass,
where squirrels hide their nut in grass,
No time to see, in broad daylights,
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
and watch her feet, how they can dance.

No time to wait till her mouth can,
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this is, full of care...
We have no time to stand and stare...
By W.H.Davies

I have never been able to write my blogs during my day's routine...so recently I started my morning walks again, in hope to find an inspiration to write something. Having read this poem a day before, I took out time to sit on a small bench by the road. The road was very pleasant and tapping with sounds of footsteps of morning walkers like me..when suddenly....

I notice a small squirrel on the tree next to the bench i was sitting on. I have never seen a squirrel so close..so really didn't want to move from my place in fear of scaring it away.

It sat their on the branch, leisurely having her morning breakfast of what seemed like a nut to me. I looked into its eyes almost striking a conversation with that cute ball of fur...

To my surprise, I see another squirrel joining her and trying to ...what we would call...WOO her...Loll. It was a beautiful sight, and by the time I could understand their mating ritual...a truck passed by, scaring both of them away.

I was disappointed since I would have loved to sit and observe that beautiful sight..

I am glad to have read the poem, because otherwise I would have never sat down to notice and stare anything around me and would have missed this unspoken conversation with my new acquaintance...

Ever wondered how many times have we actually taken time to sit down and observe the beauty around us?...Kind of reminds me of the small paragraph from Lage Raho MunnaBhai, Sheher ki is daud mein daud kar karna kya hai...Agar yahi jeena hai dosto...to fir marna kya hai??

If you have any beautiful incidents, do feel free to share...I am all ears.. :)
