A friend who helps psychotic critics to do their work....
The word critic comes from the Greek κριτικός (kritikós), meaning a person who offers reasoned judgment or analysis, value judgment, interpretation, or observation The term can be used to describe an adherent of a position disagreeing with or opposing the object of criticism.
Do you agree with this? How many of you go with the movie reviews before watching a film? I m sure most of you would say yes. I am not one of those. I believe in making my own opinions of movies, so i have noone to blame if i end up not seeing a good movie, or the other way round.
An American author Raymond Chandler has said "Good critical writing is measured by perception and evaluation of the subject. Bad critical writing by neccesity of maintaining the professional standing of the critic" Does it set your mind rolling?? When was the last time u saw a movie that was rated 4 out of 5 star...and it didnt appeal much to you. Would you give the critic a benefit of doubt or question your judgement of movies??? Its time you start thinking about the movies that are given 1 or 2 stars, which you might end up liking...
I doubt if the critics realise that they few words decide 50% of the fate of the film.
Friday has become a D-Day for ppl making the film and hence impacting probably the creativity of the writer/director. With pirated CDs easily available in the market with a day of the movie being released, do we really want to trust the critics??
A Food for thought...???
